PROFESSOR ACCREDITATION AND RE-ACCREDITATION

Rules approved by the PPGCM-IDOR Deliberative Committee on 05/SEP/2023 (CODEP-09/2023)

The Program Deliberative Committee (CODEP), in the use of its powers and considering the need to regulate the accreditation and re-accreditation of professors within the framework of permanent advisors and collaborators of the PPGCM-IDOR, in a plenary meeting held on 09/05/2023, approved the following standards for the Accreditation and Re-accreditation of program professors:

1.    The PPGCM-IDOR faculty will be made up of members appointed by the Program Deliberative Committee (CODEP), who must meet legal requirements and be accredited by the Stricto sensu Postgraduate Coordination, by the Research Directorate and Presidency of the IDOR.

2.    PPGCM-IDOR professors must have adequate academic training, represented by the title of doctor or equivalent, and continuous intellectual production relevant to their area of expertise.

3.    At the end of the four-year period, all teachers who do not have ongoing guidance will be automatically dismissed from the program and automatically enrolled for new re-accreditation.

4.    New requests, re-accreditation, and de-accreditation will be evaluated by the Program Deliberative Committee (CODEP).

5.    Pre-accreditation window: second and final year of the four-year period. The request must be made using the Professor Accreditation Request form, available on the program's website, except for candidates for re-accreditation (these are automatically enrolled).

6.    Two independent rapporteurs from the Program Deliberative Committee (CODEP) must assess and report each proposal. The data will be extracted from the CV Lattes (updating the CV is the responsibility of the candidate/professor).

7.    For approval of the proposals by CODEP in a specific meeting, the presence of the Coordinator, Deputy, and at least three other professors, members of the committee, will be required.

8.    Prerequisites for selection:

a.    previous experience in advising Scientific Initiation students, or advising Course Completion Works, or advising Residency or specialization courses.

b.    previous experience in Master/Doctorate supervision as supervisors or co-supervisors in other programs or external participants at PPGCM-IDOR.

c.    Qualis score ≥ 500 in the last four years (prior to the application).

9.    Reservation of up to 20% of the total number of Permanent Professors (PP) that do not meet the above criteria may be considered as suitable for guidance, as long as they work in lines considered strategic for didactic, administrative, and research activities, as chosen by the PPGCM, aligned with the Research Directorate and Presidency of IDOR.

10.    The availability of vacancies for the exclusive PP category (minimum of 70%) and non-exclusive PP (maximum of 30%), as well as the proportion of PP (minimum of 70%) and Collaborators Professors (maximum 30%).

11.    Once the conduct or reappointment of the PP is approved, its accreditation will only be effective when at least one supervisee is enrolled in the program.

12.    Omitted cases will be evaluated and decided by the Program Deliberative Committee (CODEP).

13.    All provisions to the contrary are revoked.
